I was born in Montana but raised in Okmulgee. I graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1995. I studied Education at East Central University and earned two degrees - one in Early Childhood Education and the other in Elementary Education. I began my teaching career at the Marian Academy Catholic School where I taught Kindergarten for 3 years. I then moved to Frontier Elementary School where I taught Kindergarten for 2 years. I was then blessed with a daughter named Remi, currently a 9th grade student at Kiefer high School, and took some time off from teaching to be a stay-at-home mom. When it was time for Remi to start school, I went back to teaching and spend 5 years at Stonebridge Academy, teaching PreK to 2nd grade. This will be my 15th year to teach and my 5th year at Preston Public Schools. I currently live in Beggs where the majority of my family resides.
